Unlike popular compression programs like WinZip or WinRar, ACDZip is a compression program designed specifically for photographers or people who prefer to use a program especially for compression of images.
ACDZip has support for several different compression formats apart from ZIP files and include ZIP, CAB, GZ and UUE files.
ACDZip is ideal for sharing your photographs and other image types via email, as it can effectively reduce the size of files, making it easier and faster to send them over the web.
This compression program supports the preview of 9 different image formats in it's simple user interface; those include JPEGs, GIFs, PNGs, TGAs, TIFFs, WMFs, EMFs, PCXs and BMP files. With the addition of a paid copy of ACDSee, you also get access to over 40 image formats.
ACDSee with ACDZip also allows you to edit files from within the actual archive, meaning you're able to edit the files without the potentially long process of extracting the files in order to work on them.
Included with this compression program is built-in email sending (if you use a Windows-based email client).
ACDZip is licensed as Shareware for the Windows operating system / platform from file archivers and can be used as a free trial until the trial period ends (after 25 days). The ACDZip 1.0 demo is available to all software users as a free download with potential restrictions and is not necessarily the download of the full version.
Compatibility with this software may vary, but will generally run fine under Microsoft Windows 10, 8, 8.1, 7, Vista and XP on either a 32-bit or 64-bit setup. A separate x64 version may be available from ACD Systems.
We have tested ACDZip 1.0 against malware with several different programs. We certify that this program is clean of viruses, malware and trojans. [Read more]
